It’s been a while since I last wrote in my farming journal. I had to postpone my plan to move into a new house with a small sunny spot for farming, which was a little disappointing at first. Even though my plan has changed, I’ve decided to keep moving forward by starting with documentation. After all, you should never underestimate the power of taking a small step toward your dream—no matter what your current circumstances look like 🌱
Today I’m writing the first chapter of my home farming journey with beautiful cherry tomatoes. I’ve always loved a meal built around a fresh bowl of salad—simple to make, yet full of the nutrition I need. One of my favourites is a chickpea curry salad made with onion, cucumber, capsicum, coriander and a mix of colourful cherry tomatoes. Red, orange, yellow, green, even purplish—they’re not only delightful to look at but also deeply satisfying to eat. I’m so excited to start growing these little beauties in my (future) small backyard.
